Russia has practiced a scenario of an attack on Finland and the Baltic states using various types of troops. According to NATO, the attack could include strikes from the sea, land and air through Murmansk.
NATO said that Russia had trained several units of troops to attack Finland and the Baltic states. This is reported by Iltalehti, according to UNN.

It is noted that special attention is being paid to the coordination of various units, including missile, naval, air and ground forces. In the event of such actions, hostilities could spread to the territory of Finland, Norway, and the Baltic States. This is stated in the report of the State Defense Council.

NATO sources say that one of the key areas of Russian attack could be northern Norway, where Murmansk could be attacked from the sea, land, and air. According to these scenarios, Russia plans to land in Finnish Lapland and launch missiles from the Kola Peninsula.
In the north, the 14th Army Corps will attack the Norwegian coast from Murmansk by sea, land, and air. The Russians will land in Finnish Lapland. Russian missile forces deployed on the Kola Peninsula will also invade Finland
The Alliance believes that in the event of an attack, Russia will try to create a buffer zone in Northern Lapland and Finmark in Norway, which will bring the fighting to NATO territory.
Last March, NATO practiced the deployment of 20,000 troops in northern Norway and Finnish Lapland, and earlier this year NATO conducted large-scale exercises near the borders of Russia.
