Russia attacked Odesa region with missiles and 202 drones, 174 UAVs shot down - Air Force

Russian forces attacked Odesa region with missiles and 202 drones overnight. The Defense Forces shot down 174 UAVs and 5 loitering munitions.
During the night of August 8–9, Russian occupiers attacked Odesa region with Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic, anti-ship and anti-radar missiles, Oniks and Kh-31P missiles, and also launched 202 Shahed-type attack UAVs (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera UAVs and Parodiya-type decoy drones, as well as Banderoль loitering munitions, against Ukraine. The missiles and drones were launched from occupied Crimea and the waters of the Black Sea, as well as from the Russian cities of Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and from occupied Donetsk and Crimea. This was reported by UNN, citing the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Air defenses shot down/suppressed 174 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, drones of other types, as well as 5 Banderoль loitering munitions in the north, south and east of the country.
At the same time, missile and attack UAV strikes were recorded at 22 locations, as well as the fall of downed targets (debris) at 6 locations. As a result of the countermeasures, several enemy missiles failed to reach their targets; information regarding the locations where they fell is being clarified
Previously
Ukraine’s Defense Forces, guided by the partisan movement "Atesh," completely destroyed an oil depot in occupied Luhansk that was used by Russian forces. The facility supplied fuel to the 41st and 20th Russian armies in eastern Ukraine.
