NATO land forces have launched operations aimed at strengthening the defense of the alliance's two newest members—Sweden and Finland. This was reported by ERR, according to UNN.

"This region is one of the most strategically important and environmentally challenging in the world," noted General Alexus Grynkewich, Commander of NATO's Allied Air Command and a senior U.S. general.
As noted, in 2024, NATO decided to create a new international military unit—Forward Land Forces Finland (FLF), designed to function as a rapid response unit.
