Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 41 servicemen of the highest officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have resigned for health reasons.
For health reasons, 41 senior officers have been dismissed from military service to the reserve since the beginning of a full-scale war. This was stated by the main communications department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in response to a request from Radio Liberty, reports UNN.
The publication clarifies that these are data from the period from February 24, 2022 to August 1, 2024.
"According to the information provided by the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the following is reported: during the full – scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, in the period from 24.02.2022 to 01.08.2024, 41 senior officers were dismissed from military service to the reserve for health reasons," the response says.
Also during this period, one senior military officer was accepted for military service.
Senior officers usually include officers who hold strategic command positions or have the highest military ranks, in particular, Major General, Lieutenant General, Colonel General.
The media request concerned how many generals were written off to the reserve during the full-scale invasion, according to the conclusions of Military Medical commissions.
