President Zelenskyy held a meeting on the development of small anti-drone air defense. The structure of the new command was approved, and key tasks for the Air Force and the Ministry of Defense were defined.

An important meeting for the development of small anti-drone air defense. We are significantly strengthening this component in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We approved the structure of the new command, which will be responsible specifically for this area of air defense, and new management approaches.
In addition, the Head of State defined key tasks for the Air Force command and the Ministry of Defense.
First, protection against Russian drones must be strengthened in our cities such as Kherson, Nikopol, as well as border communities of Sumy region, where the Russians have arranged a virtually constant "safari" against people. Every day – their strikes on residential buildings, on ordinary infrastructure, civilian transport. We need more protection and our response actions.
The second task, according to him, is to scale up our countermeasures against "Shaheds" and other Russian attack drones. There will be more lines, more lines of defense.
Third, it is necessary to disseminate the experience of successful units in the Defense Forces of Ukraine, so that every solution that worked for one unit can also be successfully used by other Ukrainian units. Glory to Ukraine!
