The SBU exposed a taxi driver who collected coordinates of power substations and Ukrainian Armed Forces positions during his rides. The traitor faces life imprisonment for treason.

The counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained an agent of the Russian special services in Odesa - he turned out to be a taxi driver who was adjusting enemy missile and drone attacks on the city. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SBU.
Details
As the investigation established, the detainee tracked the locations of the Defense Forces and local power substations, which the Russians were preparing for a new series of air strikes.
He carried out his criminal activities under the guise of fulfilling orders for transporting passengers around Odesa and its surroundings.
Heading to clients or returning after fulfilling orders, the agent photographed the perimeters of potential "targets" and marked their geolocations on Google Maps. For photo fixation and working with mapping programs, the perpetrator used a smartphone and a tablet. Subsequently, the suspect summarized intelligence reports for the FSB on them
The investigation established that the detainee came to the attention of the FSB at the end of 2025, when he was looking for offers of "easy money" on the Internet. During searches, his gadgets and SIM cards were seized, on which he stored intelligence data and through which he used an anonymous chat in a messenger for contacts with a curator from the Russian special service.
The detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). He is currently in custody - he faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
