NATO Secretary General warned Trump of a "terrible threat" to the United States if Ukraine signs an unfavorable peace agreement

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has warned Donald Trump that the United States will face a "terrible threat" from China, Iran and North Korea if Ukraine is pushed to sign a peace agreement on terms favorable to Moscow. He stated this in  an interview with the Financial Times, reports UNN.

Rutte said that deepening ties between the US adversaries puts America at risk, and called on the president-elect to remain members of NATO and continue to support Ukraine.

According to the Financial Times, Rutte noted the risks of Russia supplying missile technology to North Korea and cash to Iran. Clearly alluding to Taiwan, he said that Chinese President Xi Jinping "may think about something else in the future if there is no good deal (for Ukraine).

"We cannot allow a situation where (the leader of North Korea) Kim Jong—un, the Russian leader, Xi Jinping and Iran are shaking hands because we have come to an agreement that is not profitable for Ukraine, because in the long term it will become a serious security threat not only for Europe, but also for the United States," Rutte told FT.

Rutte said he brought this point of view to Trump at their meeting in Florida on November 22 as part of efforts to convince the US president-elect to continue to cooperate with Western allies and continue American support for Ukraine.

"Look at the missile technology that is now being shipped from Russia to North Korea, which poses a serious threat not only to South Korea, Japan, but also to the U.S. mainland," Rutte told Trump.

"Iran receives money from Russia in exchange, for example, for missiles, as well as for unmanned technologies. And this money is being used to support Hezbollah and Hamas, as well as to bring the conflict outside the region," Rutte said.

The NATO Secretary General said that the fact that Iran, North Korea, China and Russia cooperate so closely means that these different parts of the world, where conflicts exist and they must be governed by politicians, are becoming more and more connected.

"And there is one Xi Jinping who is watching very closely what comes out of this," he added.

The Financial Times believes that Rutte clearly hinted in this way at fears that if Russia is allowed to seize most of Ukraine, Xi may dare to use force against Taiwan.

"Those were the points that I made," Rutte said.

President Vladimir Zelensky stated that no one would go to ultimatums of Russia. President Donald Trump and his team are aware of this. There will be no capitulations from Ukraine.
