Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 17 of 24 Russian attack drones and an X-59 missile overnight.
Overnight, air defense forces shot down 17 attack drones and an X-59 guided missile. In total, the Russians launched 24 drones. The air defense was working on five regions. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.
Details
It is noted that on the night of April 8, the enemy struck:
- with an X-59 guided missile from the airspace of the occupied Zaporizhzhia region,
- 24 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs from Cape Chauda in Crimea, Kursk and Yeysk districts in Russia.
Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare equipment were used to repel the air attack.
As a result of an anti-aircraft battle, the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down a Ukrainian aircraft:
- X-59 guided missile in the Dnipro region,
- 17 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr regions.
