Ukraine received $41.7 billion from international partners in 2024: almost a third in grants

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine attracted USD 41.7 billion in external financing, of which 30% were grants. The largest donors were the EU, the US, the IMF, Japan, the World Bank, Canada and the UK.
Ukraine has received $41.7 billion in external financing this year, of which 30% are grants, according to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, UNN reports.

"In 2024, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine attracted USD 41.7 billion in external financing from international partners. Grants accounted for about 30% of the total amount of financing," the statement said.
At the same time, as noted, Ukraine received all loans on favorable terms.
"USD 41.7 billion, a significant amount of financial assistance. (...) In 2024, this allowed us to cover all priority social and humanitarian expenditures. These include pensions, salaries for employees, in particular in the education and healthcare sectors, social protection, and humanitarian support. I am grateful to all our partners for the fruitful cooperation, which has resulted in the financial stability of the country," said Minister of Finance Sergii Marchenko.
The largest donors of budgetary support in 2024 are: The European Union, the United States of America, the International Monetary Fund, Japan, the World Bank, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
