TCC, doctors and military in one scheme: organizers of “evasion business” detained in Dnipro

The SBU and the State Bureau of Investigation detained five organizers of a mobilization evasion scheme in Dnipro who charged $12,000 for services. The detainees include employees of the TCC, military personnel and doctors who forged medical documents.
The SBU, together with the State Bureau of Investigation, detained five organizers of a mobilization evasion scheme in Dnipro. The group included employees of the TCC, military personnel, doctors and civilians who acted as intermediaries.
This was reported by the SBU press service, UNN reported.
How the scheme worked
The organizers falsified medical records, indicating severe diagnoses in the medical histories of the evaders. These documents were used to produce fake medical reports on their unfitness for military service.
The forgeries were transferred to territorial recruitment centers, where clients were either deregistered or granted a deferral from mobilization. The cost of such services reached 12 thousand dollars per person.
What was found during the searches
Law enforcement officers seized it:
- medical documentation with forged conclusions;
- draft records and electronic media;
- over UAH 2 million in cash;
- weapons.
Criminal liability
The detainees were notified of suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- ч. 1 Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful activities of the AFU);
- ч. 3 of Art. 368 (obtaining undue advantage by an official);
- ч. 3 Art. 332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border);
- ч. 1 Art. 358 (forgery of documents);
- ч. 3, Art. 366 (forgery in office).
The detainees face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
