It is noted that some of the tunnel mines connected strategic facilities. In addition, many kilometers of tunnel routes were destroyed
Addendum
At the same time, the Israeli military emphasized that the tunnel mines were located in civilian areas, many of which were near or inside civilian buildings and structures, such as schools, kindergartens, mosques, and playgrounds. Inside some of the mines, the IDF found large quantities of weapons.
These findings are further evidence that Hamas is deliberately using civilians and infrastructure as cover for its terrorist activities in Gaza
To recap,
Israel agreed to a truce with the Hamas terrorist movement that lasted 7 days. During this time, the parties agreed to release about a hundred hostages held by Hamas in exchange for the release of 240 Palestinian prisoners in Israel.
After the Hamas group violated the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli army resumed full-scale hostilities.
