In Zaporizhzhia, the police exposed a corruption scheme involving MSEC (medical and social examination) officials who issued certificates of fictitious disability to men liable for military service. One such certificate cost $3,500. In this case, one of the heads of the center of medical and social expertise and his intermediary were suspected. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, according to UNN.
An official of the center for medical and social examination, having influence on the heads of subordinate commissions, helped conscripts to obtain a fictitious disability group. Her relative, who acted as an intermediary, searched for clients and kept in touch with them. For example, the cost of a referral to a military medical commission (MMC) was $300, and the cost of obtaining the required conclusion was $3,500.
