The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has begun preparing the capital for the next heating season. Due to damage to thermal power plants, the city must ensure stable heat and energy supply in advance. This was reported by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, according to UNN.

Details

The government is helping Kyiv prepare for next winter and ensure uninterrupted heat supply. We are working in dialogue with the city authorities. We have coordinated actions within the framework of implementing Resilience Plans

- said Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to the official, due to significant damage to the thermal power plant, the city must prepare the infrastructure now. This involves creating conditions for stable provision of heat and light to residents even under shelling.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the key task now is to meet the needs of all districts with alternative energy sources and protect critical facilities.

Part of the work will be carried out by the Reconstruction Agency, and part by the city on its own. The government, for its part, has already allocated UAH 987 million for priority measures and is ready to continue providing full support. At the same time, we expect timely decisions from the city and organization of work at facilities that are defined as the responsibility of local authorities. The work must be completed on time and in full

- the official emphasized.
