On Thursday, April 18, during an official visit to Italy and before a meeting of the G7 foreign ministers, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba emphasized the need for the speedy delivery of additional air defense systems.

Air defense is a "matter of life and death" for the Kyiv government and the "only issue" on the agenda at the G7 ministerial meeting. According to Rai News, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this morning on the sidelines of a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at the G7 summit.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba addressed the countries that have been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia with the following appeal:

The message is simple: the world cannot just watch Ukrainians being killed by Russian missiles and drones. Ukraine urgently needs additional Patriot and SAMP/T air defense systems to protect itself from Russian terror

-  emphasized Kuleba.

The Minister clarified that these air defense systems are a priority, as they are the only ones capable of shooting down Russian ballistic missiles.

"The G7 are the countries that have the ability to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems without delay, and we are making every effort to ensure that decisions are made as soon as possible

- said the Ukrainian Foreign Minister.
