The authorities at the capital level were instructed to promptly make the necessary decisions within the framework of responding to the emergency in the energy sector, focusing on changing the rules for citizens' movement during curfew and restricting unnecessary advertising lighting and backlighting, said First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, who was appointed head of emergency response efforts, UNN reports.
He set specific tasks for the heads of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast regarding coordination on the ground. Separately, he instructed to hold a meeting of the Kyiv City Defense Council so that the necessary additional decisions could be promptly made at the capital level. The focus is on changing the rules for citizens' movement during curfew (everyone should be able to reach an invincibility point unhindered), restricting unnecessary advertising lighting and backlighting, and the operation and additional staffing of invincibility points and heating points.
"As the head of emergency response efforts in the energy systems, I emphasized: all decisions must be implemented as quickly as possible," he added.
Also, according to him, information and developments over the past day were heard. Co-chairman of the headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba, reported that additional cogeneration units are being sent to Kyiv.
"Together with representatives of energy companies, we discussed how to strengthen coordination of work. In particular, the possibility of involving brigades from other regions to connect generators in apartment buildings. The issue of simplifying the connection of cogeneration units, modular boiler houses, gas turbine and gas piston units to increase distributed generation is also being worked out," Shmyhal said.
