Seven trains have been switched to a daily schedule, and an additional Kyiv — Chernivtsi service has been scheduled. The Sumy — Rakhiv route has been restored for summer travel.

Additional trains are being launched in Ukraine for the summer season, and the Sumy - Rakhiv route is being restored, Ukrzaliznytsia reported on Friday, according to UNN.

Since the beginning of summer, Ukrzaliznytsia has been recording changes in passenger traffic and responding promptly. In the near future, 7 pairs of trains will be switched to daily service simultaneously,

the company stated.

As noted, this concerns the following trains:

  • No. 4/3 Uzhhorod — Dnipro;
    • No. 86/85 Lviv — Zaporizhzhia;
      • No. 128/127 Lviv — Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia;
        • No. 78/77 Kovel — Odesa;
          • No. 88/87 Kovel — Dnipro;
            • No. 7/8 Kharkiv — Odesa;
              • No. 121/122 Mykolaiv — Kyiv.

                According to UZ, assigning additional trains and increasing the number of carriages on the most in-demand routes under conditions of a fleet deficit was made possible by reducing the number of carriages on routes with lower demand and redeploying them to routes with the highest demand.

                Ukrzaliznytsia is also reportedly restoring the service of train No. 143/144 Sumy — Rakhiv. The route will once again connect Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Sivershchyna with the West of the country, providing a direct link from Sumy, Bilopillia, and Konotop to Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Yaremche, and Vorokhta.

                To meet the increased demand between the capital and Bukovyna, an additional train No. 227/228 Kyiv — Chernivtsi has also been assigned. The train will run every other day via Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kolomyia. The train consists of reserved seat, compartment, and suite (SV) carriages.

                Ticket sales for the assigned trips will open according to the train schedule dates. The advance booking period depends on the specific direction and ranges from 20 to 5 days before the departure date.

                "In the face of constant enemy attacks on railway infrastructure and damage to rolling stock, railway workers continue to do everything possible to provide more seats and opportunities for travel across the country," UZ emphasized.
