Six regions are partially without power due to enemy attacks, five partially due to bad weather, consumption is rising, but no blackout schedules are expected, the Ministry of Energy and NPC "Ukrenergo" reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.
Enemy attacks
"As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions are temporarily left without electricity," the statement reads.
Energy workers are working to restore power to Ukrainian homes as quickly as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock.
Bad weather
"Due to bad weather, 228 settlements in Zakarpattia, Kyiv, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions remain without electricity," the statement said.
Repair crews are working on restoration.
Consumption
"No restrictions are forecast for today. Active energy consumption today should be shifted to daytime hours - from 11:00 to 15:00," the Ministry of Energy noted.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption is showing an upward trend. Today, July 28, as of 09:30, it was 6% higher than at the same time the previous day – Monday. The reason for the changes is cloudy weather with rain in some regions of Ukraine. This causes low efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding increase in the volume of energy consumption from the general grid.
Yesterday, July 27, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 3.9% higher than the maximum of the previous working day – on Friday, July 24. The reason for the increase is a significant rise in air temperature, which prompted consumers to use air conditioners.
