The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry calls for an enhanced NATO presence in the Polish skies to free up resources. This may facilitate the transfer of Polish MiG-29 fighters to Ukrainian troops.
Ukraine calls for an enhanced NATO presence in the Polish skies and in general on the eastern flank of the Alliance, which would encourage the release of resources that can be transferred to Ukraine, in particular Polish MiG-29 aircraft. this was stated by foreign ministry spokesman George Tihy during a briefing, reports UNN.
"These consultations are continuing, and this is, in fact, an issue in which, again, we have a common view with the Polish side. Indeed, we call for an enhanced NATO presence in the Polish skies and on NATO's eastern flank in general, which would encourage the release of resources that can be transferred to Ukraine. I don't want to reveal more details than I can, but I will just say that this issue of transferring fighter jets to Ukraine is on the agenda and we want to hope that we have a positive movement in it, but it's too early to talk about specifics," Tihy said.

Polish President Andrzej Duda statedthat further transfer of Polish MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine is possible only if the sky over Poland is protected by equipment from other NATO countries.
