U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin reaffirmed the United States' commitment to taking all possible measures to protect Israel. The official emphasized the strengthening of the positions and capabilities of the US armed forces throughout the Middle East in light of escalating regional tensions. Reinforcing this commitment, Austin ordered:
...the F-35C-equipped USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN carrier strike group to accelerate its transition to the Central Command area of responsibility, which will expand the capabilities already provided by the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT carrier strike group
The US Secretary of Defense also ordered the USS Georgia, a guided missile submarine, to head to the Central Command region.

The American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, more than 300 meters long, is a real floating fortress capable of receiving dozens of fighters and coordinating large-scale operations.
In 2012, the Abraham Lincoln was sent to the waters of the Red Sea, in particular to the Strait of Hormuz (which separates Iran from the UAE and Oman) as a response to the nuclear program announced by Tehran at that time.
The USS Georgia nuclear-powered submarine is another extremely destructive vessel deployed by the Pentagon. With a length of about 110 meters, this submarine can be equipped with more than 150 cruise missiles capable of hitting targets at long ranges with high accuracy.
An impressive unit that will soon be joined by the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT , a warship already present in the region, which will increase the US's power projection capabilities in the Middle East.
Recall
[UNN reported that the US Department of Defense is sending a guided missile submarine to the Middle East. The deployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier and auxiliary ships from the naval base on the island of Guam has also been accelerated.
