Electricity consumption in Ukraine is in line with seasonal trends, but there is a shortage during peak hours. The power system is stable, with imports from 5 countries totaling 9,542 MWh.

The level of electricity consumption in Ukraine is in line with seasonal indicators, and the power system is stable. In the morning and evening hours, the power grid remains in shortage of capacity, imports are expected from 5 countries, NPC Ukrenergo and the Ministry of Energy said on Thursday, UNN reports.

"Consumption is in line with seasonal indicators. Today, on October 31, as of 9:30 a.m., it was at the same level as the previous day - on Wednesday, October 30," the statement said.

As stated, "during the hours of maximum consumption in the morning and evening, the power system remains under capacity.

"It is better to use powerful electrical appliances during the period of the most efficient operation of solar power plants - from 9:00 to 15:00," the statement said.

According to the Ministry of Energy, "the energy system currently remains stable and balanced, but damage to the infrastructure complicates its functioning.

According to the Ministry of Energy, power engineers restored power to 3,163 consumers who were cut off from electricity as a result of hostilities. 

Import

It will be supplied throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 9,542 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 962 MW in some hours.

Situation at ZNPP

"The water level in the cooling pond is 14.22 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy said.
