Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has placed responsibility on the Ukrainian side for resolving tensions in Polish-Ukrainian relations following the decision to grant a Special Operations Forces unit the title "Heroes of the UPA." This was reported by UNN with reference to Tusk's statement, as quoted by RMF24.

Everyone has their own national feelings, and I understand that Ukrainians will honor the memory of those who fought the Soviet invader, but I would not understand if they simultaneously wanted to honor the memory of those who killed Poles. Support and assistance from Poland and other European countries, but especially Poland for Ukraine, is something that should deeply concern our neighbors. Perhaps these arguments will reach Kyiv. If not, it will mean that our relations will be defined not by empathy, but by persistent business activity
