Train traffic between Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia has been restricted due to Russian attacks on the railway and the detection of enemy drones. Infrastructure has been damaged, but passengers and railway workers were not harmed.
Train traffic between Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia has been restricted due to Russian attacks on the railway and the detection of enemy drones, JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" reported on Friday, writes UNN.
Due to attacks on railway infrastructure and the detection of enemy UAVs near train routes, the monitoring team and Ukrzaliznytsia dispatchers restricted traffic between Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia.
It is reported that there is damage to the railway infrastructure, but thanks to the introduced restrictions, passengers and railway workers were not injured.
Together with the military administrations of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia, alternative bus transfers have been organized: passengers of trains No. 37/38 Kyiv-Zaporizhzhia and No. 85/86 Lviv-Zaporizhzhia to Synelnykove and Zaporizhzhia stations are already on their way via a safer bypass route, the company said.
Passengers were urged to listen carefully to announcements at stations and information from train crews, as well as to pay attention to push notifications in the Ukrzaliznytsia application.
"Ukrzaliznytsia continues and strengthens monitoring of air threats on train routes and will resume train traffic on the usual route after the attack is repelled and the security situation in the region stabilizes," the company said.
