Three Ukrainian films were included in the longlist of the Academy Awards 2025: what is known about them

The American Film Academy has included three Ukrainian films in the list of contenders for the 2025 Oscar. The middle ones are "La Paliciada", "porcelain war"and" peaceful people".
The American Film Academy announced a longlist of contenders for the "Oscar 2025". The official list of 169 films includes three Ukrainian films, reports UNN with reference to Goskino.
Ukrainian applicants:
- "La Paliciada" (directed by Philip Sotnichenko) the film is presented in the category "International Feature Film" - Ukraine, 1996. 5 months before the moratorium on the death penalty, two old friends, a police detective and a forensic psychiatrist, investigate the murder of their colleague.
– "Porcelain War" (directed by Brendan Bellomo and Slava Leontiev) - the story of three Ukrainian artists of porcelain animalism who work against the background of the war.
– "Peaceful people" (directed by Oksana Karpovich) is a documentary film based on radio intercepts of conversations between Russian occupiers and their families, illustrating their everyday attitude to cruelty.
