The situation in the south of Ukraine remains tense: the enemy continues to terrorize, shelling energy facilities and trying to detect Ukrainian air defense systems.

The situation in the south of Ukraine remains tense, with the enemy continuing to shell energy facilities and trying to locate Ukrainian air defense systems. In the south, the Defense Forces destroyed 4 enemy Shahed UAVs at night. This was reported by the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine Natalia Gumenyuk during a telethon, UNN reports.

"The situation remains quite tense. We see that the enemy does not stop terror, neither on the ground, where it cannot achieve the successes it has planned, and compensates for it in the air. In particular, it continues to strike different regions of Ukraine with ballistic missiles. It is trying to put pressure with the use of "Shahed" drones. It again tested the air defense of the southern regions. Our Defense Forces worked effectively. 4 drones were destroyed - 2 in Kherson region and one each in Mykolaiv and Dnipro regions," said Humeniuk.

She added that the enemy continues to fire at energy facilities and is trying to find the air defense systems themselves.

"The groups of drones were deployed more compactly and this suggests that they obviously have a certain lack of this potential, but are trying to keep the terror systematic. That is why yesterday afternoon there was a ballistic missile attack in our area of responsibility in the direction of Kirovohrad region and drones were used at night, although not in large numbers," added Humeniuk.
