The Netherlands has concluded its participation in Mission Interflex; the United Kingdom will continue the training of Ukrainian military personnel

The Netherlands has completed its participation in Mission Interflex, which has trained 63,000 personnel. Going forward, Britain will conduct only specialized training for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The international training mission Interflex, established after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, has moved to a new stage of operation. During this time, more than 63,000 Ukrainian servicemen have undergone training, including about 11,000 instructors. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands, according to UNN.

The UK-led program was implemented with the participation of 14 countries, including the Netherlands. Ukrainian military personnel underwent basic training in marksmanship, tactical medicine, and the laws of war.
The ministry noted that thanks to the mission, Ukraine has strengthened its own capabilities for training military personnel and can independently provide basic training for recruits.
Mission moves to a new stage
Last week, a ceremony was held in the United Kingdom with the participation of representatives from Ukraine and partner countries, during which the contributions of Interflex program participants were recognized.
The Netherlands has participated in the mission since its inception. Units of the Royal Netherlands Army and the country's Marine Corps were involved in training the Ukrainian military.
In the future, Interflex will continue its work under British leadership, but the focus will shift from mass basic training to specialized courses in accordance with the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the Netherlands will continue to support the training of Ukrainian military personnel through other international programs, in particular the EUMAM mission.
