The Cabinet of Ministers approved the updated composition of the Ukrenergo Supervisory Board with 7 members. The composition includes 4 independent members with European experience and 3 representatives of the state.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the new composition of the Supervisory Board of NPC "Ukrenergo", which includes 4 independent members and 3 representatives of the state. The new composition was formed after two independent members resigned in September against the background of the dismissal of the former head of "Ukrenergo" Volodymyr Kudrytskyi. The updated composition of the Supervisory Board of the company, which was appointed by orders of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, included independent members:

Patrick Roland Graichen - a well-known European expert on climate and energy issues. Previously, he worked as State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection of Germany, where he played a key role in shaping national energy strategies. Prior to that, for ten years he headed the leading European think tank Agora Energy Transition, where he made significant efforts to promote energy transformation and sustainable development strategies in the EU.

Luigi de Francisci - was responsible for regulatory issues at TERNA, the Italian electricity transmission system operator, which is one of the largest in Europe. He also held the position of a member of the ENTSO-E Board for more than six years. Luigi has previously served as an independent member of the Supervisory Board of "Ukrenergo" in 2019-2021, responsible for strategic transformations.

Jeppe Sebastian Kofod - a well-known European politician and expert in the field of energy and security issues. He has significant experience in public administration as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (from 2018 to 2022), as well as experience as a member of the European Parliament and the Danish Parliament. In general, he has over 25 years of experience in European diplomacy, a deep understanding of the energy market and the specifics of regulation.

Jan Henrik Montell - has a successful combination of experience in both corporate governance and as the Chief Financial Officer of the Finnish electricity transmission system operator. At Fingrid, he was responsible for strategic finance, digitalization, investments, fundraising and risk management for more than eight years.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Supervisory Board of "Ukrenergo" consists of seven members of the Supervisory Board: 4 independent representatives and representatives of the state, which are determined by the government.

In September, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported the dismissal of Volodymyr Kudrytskyi from the position of the head of NPC "Ukrenergo". The decision was made after several stages of discussions, and Oleksii Brekhta was appointed as the acting chairman.

Against the background of Kudrytskyi's dismissal, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of NPC Ukrenergo, Daniel Dobbeni, and the member of the Supervisory Board, Peder Andreasen, submitted their written notices of early termination of powers as members of the company's Supervisory Board.

Thus, 5 members of the Supervisory Board remained in "Ukrenergo"

In September, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine launched a competitive selection for three positions of independent members of the Supervisory Board of NPC "Ukrenergo".

On October 10, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine announced a competition for the positions of three independent members of the Supervisory Board of "Ukrenergo". The fourth independent member was simultaneously elected through a previously launched similar transparent procedure.

In November 2024, the government agreed on the candidates of the winners of the selection for the positions of members of the Supervisory Board of the private joint-stock company "National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" - Patrick Roland Graichen, Luigi de Francisci, Jeppe Sebastian Kofod, Jan Henrik Montell as independent members.

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the candidacies of Yurii Boiko, Anatolii Hulei and Oleksii Nikitin for the positions of members of the Supervisory Board of "Ukrenergo" from the state.
