Russian crude oil exports from key western ports fell to a 19-month low in July, which led to an overall decline in marine oil flows worldwide.
Russian exports from the Baltic ports of Primorsk, Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk fell to almost 1.8 million barrels per day last month, down from 2.2 million barrels per day in June. This was reported by Bloomberg, according to UNN.
"Russian crude oil exports from key western ports fell to a 19-month low in July, which led to an overall decline in marine oil flows worldwide. Last month, global supplies fell by about 586 thousand barrels per day. Total flows to China fell by more than 1.4 million barrels per day, the largest observed drop this year, although the numbers may change as more vessels report their final destinations," the publication writes.
It is noted that an increase from leading exporters Saudi Arabia and the United States helped to compensate for lower supplies from Russia, Brazil, Venezuela, and Qatar.
"Russian exports from the Baltic ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga, as well as Novorossiysk on the Black Sea, fell to almost 1.8 million barrels per day last month. This is down from the 2.2 million recorded in June," the publication adds.
The publication also notes that total crude oil exports by sea from Russia are the lowest in almost a year, and shipments from Baltic ports are the lowest since December 2022.
