Russian troops attack Kyiv with ballistic missiles from Chernihiv and Poltava regions. Mayor Klitschko confirmed explosions in the city.
On the night of August 1, Russian troops are attacking Kyiv with ballistic missiles; explosions have already been heard in the capital. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, writes UNN.

At around 01:32, the Air Force reported a ballistic missile moving from the territory of Chernihiv region towards Kyiv, after which they urged residents of the capital to immediately go to shelters.
Soon, the military warned of new ballistic missile launches from the northern direction. In particular, several more missiles were recorded moving through Chernihiv region towards Kyiv, as well as one missile flying through Poltava region to the capital.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported that explosions are already audible in the city.
