Over 2,000 homes will have water and light even during blackouts - Svyrydenko

The SvitloDIM program provides up to 300,000 hryvnias for equipment to keep elevators and water supply running. By the end of the year, they plan to cover 3,600 apartment buildings.

Even in the event of power outages, elevators will operate and hot water will be available in more than 2,000 buildings. This was reported on Tuesday by First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on social media, according to UNN.

As Svyrydenko noted, co-owners of apartment buildings can continue to receive state aid ranging from 100 to 300,000 hryvnias thanks to the SvitloDIM program.
This money can be spent on purchasing equipment for uninterrupted lighting, water and heat supply, maintaining communications, and the operation of elevators and security systems during prolonged power outages, the government official added.
"We expect that by the end of the year, the program will cover 3,600 buildings. We are working on attracting additional funding and its further expansion,"
