Netherlands summons Russian ambassador over hacking of video surveillance cameras on military aid routes to Ukraine. The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed a firm protest and continued support for Ukraine.
The Netherlands summoned the Russian ambassador after intelligence reported that Russian special services hacked video surveillance cameras along the routes for transporting military aid to Ukraine. NOS reports, writes UNN.

Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Caspar Veldkamp stated that the Russian diplomat will be issued a strong protest over the cyberattacks. Earlier, the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD) together with the Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD) reported that Russian special services hacked "a small number of cameras" on the routes for transporting military cargo to Ukraine.
The message to the Russian ambassador is absolutely clear. We see what you are doing, and we do not accept it. Do you think this reduces support for Ukraine? On the contrary. We continue to fully support Ukraine
According to Veldkamp, the Netherlands is recording an increase in the number of cyber and hybrid threats from Russia. He also noted that the response to such actions will likely be coordinated, as on the same day Germany, France, and Finland also summoned Russian ambassadors over suspicions of espionage and sabotage.
