Journalists found at least UAH 1.3 million that MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak failed to declare. This is the difference between Yaroslav Zhelezniak's income and his expenses for purchasing Ministry of Finance bonds worth UAH 3.6 million, according to his 2025 declaration. This is stated in a journalistic investigation by the publication "Informator", which sent a request to the NACP.

"The face of the 'Holos' party – MP Zhelezniak – purchased securities worth 3.6 million hryvnias in 2025. But it is unclear from his declaration where the money came from. Because, even if Zhelezniak did not eat, drink, buy clothes, refuel his cool car, or pay for elite parking in Pechersk, where he also has housing, for a whole year, taking into account his income and savings, he would still be short by more than a million," the publication wrote.

As journalists calculated, in 2025, the MP earned a little over UAH 2 million and spent UAH 286 thousand in savings. In total, it amounted to about UAH 2.3 million – almost UAH 1.3 million is missing for the purchase of securities, the publication noted.

"We are sending our own calculations along with a journalistic request to the NACP. Let them comment on this. We will certainly publish the answer," "Informator" wrote.

Overall, the publication stated, Zhelezniak has strangely improved his life during his years as an MP in the Verkhovna Rada.

"He entered parliament in an old Audi A4 (figuratively), and now he has a premium-class car and lives in an elite building in Pechersk with underground parking and security. Many interesting facts are known from Zhelezniak's 2025 declaration. For example, the apartment he lives in in Pechersk costs about 12 million hryvnias," journalists reported.

They recalled other scandals related to Zhelezniak.

"Some moments from the MP's past raise doubts. Well, for example, his almost mystical connection with the 'Russian world'. His mother probably lives in Moscow and definitely had a business in Donetsk. His wife's father, who, by the way, headed the Kyiv region during Yanukovych's time, is not a real agro-baron, but actually served the business of the Russian oligarch Kislov, the 'Yug Rusi' group of companies," they informed.

As reported earlier, a criminal case has been opened against People's Deputy Yaroslav Zhelezniak for embezzlement of state funds allocated to the "Holos" party. The next step is to announce suspicion to the defendant, choose a preventive measure, and go to court.

The NACP found that in 2020, the "Holos" party, whose financial activities were managed by Zhelezniak at the time, ordered services from fictitious firms for millions of hryvnias in the third quarter of 2020. He also paid budget funds to his friends, such as Nefyodov and Malenko (also MPs from "Holos"), for fake consultations, noted the well-known blogger and serviceman Serhiy Ivanov.
