"In the pre-Christmas period, the border has seen a 15% increase in passenger traffic. The flow of citizens is mainly directed to exit, but an increase is also noted for entry," the State Border Guard Service said on social media.

As a result, there is reportedly an accumulation of vehicles at the checkpoints in Lviv region, including Krakivets, Shehyni, and Rava-Ruska. Smilnytsia, Hrushev, and Uhryniv are less congested.

The border guards are taking measures to ensure the rhythmic operation of the checkpoints.

"To save time, we recommend choosing less busy checkpoints and monitoring the situation on the official SBGS resources, as well as tracking queues at the border on our telegram channel from December 21," the SBGS advised.

Recall

The State Border Guard Service reported earlier that passenger traffic at the border had already begun to increase on the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays, up to 88-100 thousand people per day.
