At the upcoming NATO summit, Bulgarian Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev will propose that Bulgaria mediate peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.

At the upcoming NATO summit in Washington, Bulgaria will make a proposal to start peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. This was announced by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, UNN reports with reference to Novinite.

"I sincerely believe that we should be in favor of peace talks, mediated by Bulgaria . What could be better than that? And that is what I will propose; there is no problem with that," Glavchev stated.

Glavchev, however, expressed skepticism about Bulgaria's chances of being accepted as a mediator.

"Nothing could be better. I will present a good proposal, but for us to be recognized as mediators, we need agreement. It is important to emphasize that these peace talks must comply with the UN Charter and international law. These are conditions that, in my opinion, are non-negotiable," Glavchev said.
