Details
Funds for Ukraine will be distributed in equal parts – $400 million each in 2026 and 2027 for the purchase of weapons. The law also strengthens European security: $175 million has been allocated for the Baltic countries, and the Pentagon is prohibited from reducing the American contingent in Europe below 76,000 troops.
Significant attention is paid to countering China and supporting partners in Asia. The budget provides $1 billion for Taiwan and $1.5 billion for the Philippines. Full funding for Israel's Iron Dome and David's Sling air defense systems is also guaranteed. In addition to foreign policy issues, the document increases US military salaries by 3.8% and repeals outdated authorizations for the use of force against Iraq.
