Zelenskyy and Swiss President Amherd discussed preparations for the first Global Peace Summit in Switzerland in June, continuing to work on the implementation of the Peace Formula based on previous meetings of national security advisers.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Swiss President  Viola Amherd  discussed preparations for the first Global Peace Summit in Switzerland. The summit will continue preliminary work on the implementation of the Peace Formula following four meetings of national security advisers held in Copenhagen, Jeddah, Malta and Davos, UNN reports

I spoke with Viola Amherd and thanked Switzerland for its steadfast support, in particular for today's decision to allocate 5 billion Swiss francs for the reconstruction of Ukraine. We discussed the preparations for the first Global Peace Summit in Switzerland scheduled for June this year. The summit will continue our previous work on the implementation of the Peace Formula following the four meetings of National Security Advisors held in Copenhagen, Jeddah, Malta and Davos

He noted that close cooperation continues to engage the widest possible range of countries to participate in the summit in order to formulate a common practical vision for achieving a just, lasting and comprehensive peace for Ukraine.

The Guardian, citing the country's Federal Council, reported that Switzerland will hold a two-day high-level peace conference on Ukraine on June 15 and 16.

The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, said that more than 160 countries will be invited to the Global Peace Summit, which is to be held in Switzerland at the level of leaders .

Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently stated that inthe country expects about 100 countries to attend the first inaugural Peace Summit in Switzerland.  

Russia is not expected to participate in the first summit, but it may be invited to the second summit.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that Russia will not participate in the peace conference on Ukraine in Switzerlandeven if an official invitation is received.
