Without tiles and benches: Kiper canceled Odesa tenders for UAH 13 million
Kyiv • UNN
Tenders worth UAH 13 million have been canceled in Odesa region, recognizing them as unnecessary, in preference to funding the Armed Forces rather than local projects such as road repairs and stadium reconstruction. Suspicious tenders are being sent to the State Audit Service and law enforcement agencies for review.
Yesterday, on November 23, a regular meeting of the working group "Transparency and Accountability" at the Odesa Regional Administrative Body was held, which resulted in the cancellation of a number of unnecessary tenders. This was reported by the head of the Regional Administrative Body Oleh Kiper on his tg-channel, according to UNN.
A number of tenders announced in the communities of the region, totaling UAH 12,973,984, have been canceled. These include tenders for software, road repairs, and stadium reconstruction. We emphasize once again: first and foremost, we are helping the Armed Forces! Allocating funds for asphalt at a time when our boys and girls are dying every day is unacceptable!
Kiper added that letters on all suspicious tenders are sent to the State Audit Service of Ukraine for further analysis and to law enforcement agencies for verification and response.
The head of the DIA also thanked civic activists for their participation and reasonable comments. As a reminder, in October of this year, the Odesa Regional Audit Office launched a working group "Transparency and Accountability."
The working group will include representatives of the regional departments of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Prosecutor's Office and the National Police. Also, the Bureau of Economic Security and NABU. The creation of the working group was announced by the head of the DIA, Oleh Kiper.
"There should be no corruption in the region. Everyone should work exclusively for the Victory. Be as honest and frank as possible," he said.
