Ukraine lacks air defense systems to protect its cities, especially Kharkiv, which is subjected to daily terror from russia, so President Zelenskyy instructed diplomats to convince partners to provide more air defense capabilities.

Diplomats must persuade partners to show political will and transfer more air defense systems to Ukraine to protect cities, especially Kharkiv, which is terrorized by russia on a daily basis. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his daily address, UNN reports.

The frontline and the defense of our cities. I was in touch all day with the military - with the Chief of the Main Command, as well as with the head of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Minister of Internal Affairs. We discussed the situation on the front line and russian attacks on our country, with special attention, of course, to Kharkiv

- He said.

The President noted that the situation in Kharkiv is very tough due to the constant russian terror, with bombs being launched daily. According to him, the authorities are looking for opportunities to improve the protection of the sky over Kharkiv, and both the military and diplomats have been given this task.

It is quite obvious that the air defense capabilities we have in Ukraine are not enough - and this is obvious to all our partners. And the world must finally hear the pain that Russian terrorists are inflicting on Kharkiv, Kupiansk, cities in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and many other Ukrainian communities

- Zelensky said.

He noted that there are air defense systems in the world that can help. However, political will is needed for these systems to be transferred to Ukraine.

I thank those countries that have already helped. And it is the personal responsibility of our diplomats to be active in fulfilling this task, working in the areas and countries where the necessary systems are available. Now, the place for "petriots" is in Ukraine, so that later they will not have to be used at least along the entire eastern flank of NATO

- the President noted.
