During the speech, Trump said that the United States was continuing negotiations with Iran, but he did not predict their outcome. He also unexpectedly suggested that the U.S. might have to "raise" oil prices again, although he did not explain exactly what he meant.
The president also spoke sharply about Canada, calling it a "disgusting country," after which he added that he loves Canadians. In addition, he criticized Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate from the state of Michigan Abdul El-Sayed, calling him a communist and accusing him of hostility toward Jews. The politician himself rejected these accusations.
Trump announced healthcare reform and criticized the Supreme Court
At the end of the speech, the president said that, with the support of Congress, he planned to adopt a "Big Healthcare Plan." According to him, the document would provide, among other things, for direct payments to Americans into special savings accounts to pay for health insurance and medical treatment.
Trump also said that he would like to fire the U.S. Supreme Court justices appointed by Democrats, noting that they "never deviate from course."
During the event, the president honored the memory of police officer Austin Abdelnabi, who died the previous day while performing his duties in Las Vegas. Among the event's guests were former undisputed world boxing champion Mike Tyson, television host Rick Harrison, and other celebrities.
