Defense Forces hit a refinery in Saratov and a military base on the Caspian Sea. Over the week, targets were destroyed in eight regions of the Russian Federation at distances of up to 1,200 km.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that on the night of May 31, the Ukrainian military launched a strike on an oil refinery in the Russian city of Saratov. According to him, targets were also hit in the Rostov region, Kirov region, and at a military base on the Caspian Sea. "Last night, our warriors applied Ukraine's long-range sanctions against an oil refinery in the Russian city of Saratov – that is about 700 kilometers from the front line. An important result. Thank you! There were also strikes in the Rostov region, Kirov region, and at a military base on the Caspian Sea," the President stated.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Defense Forces are performing long-range missions in accordance with approved priorities.
"Our Defense Forces of Ukraine are performing long-range missions according to the approved priorities of the plan for such sanctions. This week, targets were also reached in the Yaroslavl, Ryazan, Voronezh, Volgograd, Rostov, Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, and Krasnodar regions at distances ranging from 300 to 1,200 kilometers from our state border of Ukraine. The AFU hit the Saratov refinery and a number of military facilities on the territory of Russia. The destruction of fuel tanks in Feodosia and Yenakiieve has been confirmed.
