Due to the bad weather, 325 settlements in nine regions of Ukraine are without power. The power grid is still experiencing a power shortage, with outage schedules from 6:00 to 22:00.
Due to the bad weather, 325 settlements in nine regions were cut off from power in the morning, and blackout schedules are in effect from 6:00 to 22:00 in all regions, Ukrenergo reported on Friday, UNN reports.
Bad weather
Due to severe weather conditions - rain, sleet, ice and strong wind gusts - 325 settlements in Dnipropetrovs'k, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Cherkasy and Kherson regions were cut off from electricity in the morning.
Consumption
Today, on November 22, as of 5:00 a.m., the level of electricity consumption was the same as on the previous day, Thursday. Yesterday, November 21, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 4.5% lower than the maximum of the previous day - Wednesday, November 20. "This is due to the greater volume of restriction measures applied," Ukrenergo emphasized.
The company noted that the Ukrainian power system continues to recover after ten massive Russian attacks, and there is a significant power shortage. "In order to balance the power system, hourly outage schedules are in effect in all regions from 6:00 to 22:00 today," the NPC called for.
"The situation in the power system is changing, and accordingly, changes in the application of restrictive measures are possible," Ukrenergo warned.
According to the Ministry of Energy, over the past day, power companies restored power to 46,374 consumers who were cut off as a result of the fighting.
Import
It will be supplied throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 7,408 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 817 MW in some hours.
Situation at ZNPP
"The water level in the cooling pond is 14.13 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy said.
