At night, Russia launched four missiles and 101 drones, of which 66 were shot down or suppressed. One Oniks missile and 29 drones were recorded as hitting their targets; the remaining missiles did not reach their targets.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, during the night of August 6 (from 18:00 on August 5), the enemy attacked with two Oniks anti-ship missiles (launch areas: the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea), two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles (launch area: the airspace over the waters of the Black Sea), and 101 Shahed-type attack UAVs (most of them jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parody-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol — Russia; the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk; and Hvardiiske — the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire teams of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense forces had shot down/suppressed 66 enemy Shahed-, Gerbera-, and Italmas-type UAVs and drones of other types in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits by 29 attack UAVs and one Oniks missile were recorded at 18 locations, as well as the fall of downed targets (debris) at five locations.
