Russian troops attacked the facilities of the electricity transmission system operator, and more than 28,000 subscribers in Chernihiv and Poltava regions were cut off from electricity due to enemy shelling. The power outage schedules are in effect from 06:00. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy on Saturday, UNN reports.
Generation and consumption
It is stated that the situation in the energy sector remains difficult, with a significant deficit in the system due to massive enemy attacks since the spring of this year.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine's power grid has been receiving surplus electricity from the Polish power grid.
"As of today, it is planned that the schedules of hourly outages will be in effect from 06:00 to 24:00," the Ministry of Energy said.
Shelling
"In Poltava region, equipment at a high-voltage substation was turned off during an air raid alarm, which led to a blackout of several overhead lines, substations and household consumers. A fire broke out at the substation. The fire was extinguished. Consumers were partially supplied with electricity via a backup scheme," the Ministry said.
"In Sumy region, a fire broke out at a high-voltage substation during a UAV attack, which led to a shutdown of equipment and loss of the substation's own needs. The fire has been extinguished," the agency said.
"In Chernihiv region, equipment at a high-voltage substation was turned off during a UAV attack. Several substations, household consumers and an enterprise were cut off from power. The inspection revealed a fire at the substation, which was extinguished. Consumers were partially supplied with electricity," the ministry said.
In Kharkiv region, a high-voltage overhead line was reportedly disconnected as a result of the fighting. Consumers did not lose power.
Emergencies
In Donetsk region, it was reported that ventilation equipment at one of the mines stopped working. At the time, there were 33 employees in the mine, all of whom were brought to the surface.
De-energization
In total, 541 settlements remain without electricity due to the hostilities and technical violations.
It is stated that more than 28 thousand subscribers in Chernihiv and Poltava regions were cut off from electricity supply due to enemy shelling. In Chernihiv region, 26.7 thousand consumers in 14 settlements were cut off from electricity supply as a result of a drone attack. In Sumy region, 11 settlements - 9.1 thousand consumers - were cut off from power supply as a result of an attack by enemy drones, all of which have been restored. In Poltava region, 2.2 thousand customers were cut off from electricity due to hostilities.
Situation at ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 14.89 meters. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
Import and export
During the day, imports from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary with a maximum capacity of 1,385 MW are planned. No exports are planned or expected.
