Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has allowed the introduction of “temporary administration” at infrastructure facilities whose owners fail to ensure their security. This is stated in a decree on “measures to ensure the security of critical infrastructure facilities,” UNN reports, citing Russian media.

According to Putin’s decree, the authorities will be able to introduce temporary administration at infrastructure facilities whose owners “fail to take security measures” in “conditions of external threats.”
Temporary administration may also be introduced when the restoration of such facilities is delayed.
This concerns, in particular, fuel and energy sector facilities, industrial facilities, life-support facilities, nuclear power facilities, and communications.
