Electricity deficit persists, restrictions for industry are possible again - Ukrenergo

Consequences of the Russian attack

"In Dnipropetrovs'k region, about 2,700 household consumers were cut off from power after the morning missile strike. Repair crews of the regional power company are working to restore power supply," the company said.

Consumption limitations

"Today, on April 19, the power grid has been experiencing a shortage of electricity for almost the entire day. It is caused by the damage caused by Russian missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian power plants. 

It is indicated that in the morning emergency assistance from the power systems of European countries is being called in.

From 18:00 to 22:00, business and industry may apply power limitation schedules. These measures will not affect critical infrastructure facilities and defense companies

Consumption restrictions for industrial consumers in Kryvyi Rih continue to be in effect around the clock. Since morning, consumption restrictions have been in effect for household consumers in Kharkiv region. About 203 thousand consumers are without electricity, the company said.

All consumers were urged to conserve electricity. 

Generation

Reportedly, at one of the thermal power plants, a power unit has been put under emergency repair. At others, emergency repair work continues after the massive missile attack on April 11. Nuclear power plants are undergoing a scheduled maintenance campaign. Solar power plants have slightly increased their output in some regions, while in others, dense cloud cover remains.

Import: during the day from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Moldova. Export: not planned

De-energization

More than 20 settlements in Dnipropetrovs'k, Poltava, and Sumy regions are without power due to the bad weather.

For other reasons, 385 settlements were cut off from electricity in the morning. Due to hostilities: there are power outages in Dnipropetrovs'k, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv regions.
