At night, 7 Russian Shahed drones were shot down over Ukraine. The enemy also attacked with Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region and Crimea. Drones were destroyed in Kyiv, Poltava, Kherson and Dnipro regions.
All of the 7 Shahed-type attack drones launched by Russian troops were destroyed in the skies over Ukraine at night, and the enemy also fired Iskander-M ballistic missiles, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, said on Thursday, UNN reports.

"On the night of August 1, 2024, the enemy attacked with Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region - Russia and Crimea, as well as with Shahed-type attack UAVs from the directions of Cape Chauda - Crimea, Kursk - Russia. Radio engineering troops detected and escorted 7 "Shaheds". All of them were shot down by air defense in Kyiv, Poltava, Kherson and Dnipro regions," Oleshchuk said on Telegram.
