Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence Helen McEntee, during which the parties discussed Ukraine's European integration and security cooperation. The head of state announced this, as reported by UNN.

According to the president, the key topic was the priorities of the Irish presidency of the EU in the second half of the year, in particular, the issue of opening negotiation clusters for Ukraine.

It is very important for Ukraine that the principle of opening clusters for a country that fulfills its obligations finally works 

– Zelenskyy noted.

Separately, the head of state informed the Irish side about the results of his visits to the Middle Eastern countries, as well as about the model of security cooperation proposed by Ukraine.

We are ready to work in the same format with European partners, both on a bilateral basis and within the SAFE program 

– he emphasized.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine has practical experience in the field of security, which can be useful for all of Europe.

In addition, the President thanked Ireland for its comprehensive support of Ukraine – military, humanitarian, and energy. He also noted Helen McEntee's participation in the Bucha Summit, which took place on the anniversary of the city's liberation from Russian occupiers.
