The US Vice President was expected to depart for Islamabad in the morning, although his plans are currently delayed as officials meet to discuss next steps, CNN sources said.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth arrived at the White House minutes after the Vice President. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was also caught on CNN cameras arriving at the White House's West Wing entrance nearly 50 minutes before Vance's arrival.
