Ukrainians took out preferential mortgage loans worth UAH 8.8 billion under the affordable housing program eOselya

Since the launch of the eHouse program, 5898 families have received housing loans totaling UAH 8.8 billion. Military personnel, teachers, doctors and scientists are eligible for preferential rates of 3% per annum.

Almost 5900 families have taken out loans to purchase housing under the eOselya program for a total amount of UAH 8.8 billion. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiia Runner, reports UNN.

Since the start of the program, 5898 families have taken out loans to purchase housing. In particular, over the last week, 208 loans were disbursed in the amount of UAH 331.5 million. Of these, loans loans at 3% were granted to 109 military and security personnel, 23 teachers, 14 doctors and 2 scientists. Loans at 7% were granted to 52 Ukrainians without their own housing, 4 IDPs and 4 veterans.

The largest number of preferential loans at 3% were granted to military personnel and security forces. All other Ukrainians who do not have their own housing can take advantage of the program on the terms of a mass mortgage - at 7% interest rate

Most of all of mortgage loans were taken out by residents:

  • Cities of Kyiv - 48
  • Kyiv region - 52
  • Vinnytsia region - 14
  • Lviv region - 11
  • Rivne region - 10

Most often loans were taken to purchase housing on the secondary market (158 loans) and from developers (40 loans). In addition, 10 Ukrainians took out loans to buy housing in in newly constructed housing projects.

The eOselya program program was launched in October last year. According to the affordable housing program, for contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, teachers, doctors and scientists have a preferential rate is 3% per annum. For other  categories, such as combatants, veterans, IDPs, and other citizens, the mortgage rate is 7%. Partner banks of the program, which provide loans, are Oschadbank, Privatbank, Ukrgasbank, Globus Bank, Sky Bank, Ukreximbank, and Sense Bank.
