Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries demonstrate the highest level of efficiency - Rutte

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refining infrastructure are very effective and have already significantly impacted Russia's capabilities. He said this during a discussion at the Atlantic Council ahead of the upcoming NATO summit, reports UNN.

Details

Rutte noted that Ukraine continues to demonstrate a high level of innovation, particularly in the field of unmanned technologies, and is successfully striking important Russian infrastructure facilities.

Ukraine is doing extremely well. It still leads when it comes to innovation, for example, in drone technology - there are more of them, and they are successfully hitting important energy infrastructure in Russia, as well as defense and support infrastructure. We see that the overall production volume at oil refineries in Russia has decreased by a third. And I am very impressed by the Ukrainians. Their main task is to protect their infrastructure from further strikes by Russian ballistic missiles and drones

- Rutte stated.

He also emphasized that the Russian economy is facing increasing difficulties, and the state's financial resources are gradually being depleted.

Rutte also stressed the need for continued support for Ukraine from allies. According to him, European countries should fairly distribute the financial burden within the framework of the initiative to purchase American weapons for Kyiv.

The NATO Secretary General added that continuing military aid to Ukraine remains one of the key conditions for strengthening its defense capabilities and deterring Russian aggression.

Addendum

It is worth noting that in June, the SBU intensified attacks on facilities within Russia. One of the attacks occurred on the night of June 18. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed strikes on the Moscow refinery and in the Rostov region. He thanked the military of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the strikes deep inside Russian territory, which were carried out by modernized FP-1 drones, and stated that the long-range sanctions plan is being implemented. Footage appeared online of Ukrainian FP-1 drones over the Russian capital, which the "Pantsir" system is trying in vain to shoot down. This is the second strike on the Moscow refinery.

Earlier, on June 16, in the Moscow region and the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation, attacks by UAVs on oil facilities were recorded. Footage was also posted online showing an FP-1 strike drone maneuvering in the sky over Moscow, created by the company Fire Point for deep strikes on enemy territory. Analysts point out that the affected refinery is located approximately 15 kilometers from the Kremlin. After these attacks, the Moscow refinery will not operate for at least six months.

Also, in the Russian Federation, they reported a drone attack on the Tyumen refinery (formerly the Antipinsky refinery). Ukrainian drones also struck the infrastructure of the "Kavkaz" seaport in the Krasnodar Krai - the tank farm of the oil product transshipment complex and the territory of the oil depot were hit.

In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod refinery – the NORSI plant – suspended  operations for an indefinite period after the Ukrainian attack.

After a series of Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries, the Russians began having problems with fuel.
