Ukraine's troops repelled 52 attacks in the Donetsk sector over the last day - General Staff

On the 879th day of the russian federation's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine, hostile activity increased along almost the entire frontline, with 172 combat engagements recorded. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to UNN .

It is reported that yesterday the russian aggressor launched three missile attacks (15 missiles), 66 air strikes (including 87 combat aircraft) and 715 kamikaze drone strikes against the positions of our troops and settlements, fired 4,574 times at the positions of our troops and settlements, 128 of them from MLRS.

The areas of Kozacha Lopan, Borshchova, Slobozhanske, Liptsi, Kolisnykivka, Hlyboke, Pishchane, Lyman, Serhiivka, Neskuchne in the Kharkiv region were hit by enemy air strikes; Yampil, Dibrova, Pivnichne, Diliyivka, Toretsk, Oleksandropil, Tymofiivka, Urozhayne, Vuhledar, Yelyzavetivka, Vovche, Zhelanne, Rozdilne, Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region; Lobkove and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy continued active operations, a total of seven combat engagements took place. The fighting took place in the areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 13 times. Defense forces repelled the assault near seven different settlements. The invaders made the main efforts in the areas of Berestove and Stelmakhivka.

In the Liman sector, our troops repelled 11 occupants' attacks near Nevske, Makiivka and towards Lozova.

In the Siverskiy sector, the Defense Forces also repelled 11 assaults near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, Vyymka and Pereyizne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, our soldiers stopped 20 enemy attempts to break through our defenses, in particular in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, where more than half of these clashes took place, Klishchiyivka, Kalynivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 10 attacks with the support of aviation near the settlements of Pivnichne, Zalizne and Nyzhnyk.

In the Pokrovske sector, our defenders repelled 52 assault and offensive attacks. The enemy concentrated its efforts in the areas of Novooleksandrivka and Prohres, where it conducted 16 and 17 attacks, respectively. In addition, the occupants' attempts to advance were stopped near Vozdvyzhenka,  Lozuvatske, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops 15 times.

In the Vremivsk sector, the aggressor made six attacks on our positions near Kostiantynivka and Staromayorske in the Donetsk region.

In the Orikhivsk sector, seven combat engagements took place in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky and Novodanylivka. The enemy fired over fifty unguided aerial missiles in the direction of Kamianske and Lobkove.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, our defenders repelled 11 enemy attacks on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, the operational situation remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of offensive groups of occupants were detected.

The General Staff added that the enemy maintains a military presence on the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, shelling settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities.

The losses of the Russian occupiers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have reached about 566,710 people, 8266 tanks and hundreds of pieces of military equipment, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
